City of Cripple Creek Current Job Openings

Receptionist/Office Assistant-Building Department-Full Time, full benefits. $24,639-$33,335 per year, DOE. This position will perform clerical duties, provide public information, assist with record keeping tasks and provide administrative support for the Building department. Construction/permit technician background preferred. Excellent communication skills, confidentiality, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and excellent organizational skills are a must. Word processing skills are required and Excel and PowerPoint are desired. Minimum one year office administrative support experience preferred. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Requires a valid Colorado driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days and a high school diploma or GED.

Police Dispatcher-Full-Time-
Starting salary $31,446 a year, DOE. Full benefits package. Job duties include: process emergent/non-emergent calls for Police, Fire, and EMS. Must be able to: monitor and answer multi-channel radios and monitor additional frequencies for adjacent jurisdictions; maintain accurate and current awareness of the status and location of all personnel and equipment; operate computer terminals to enter, query, modify and/or delete data from NCIC/CCIC and CAD systems; maintain confidentiality; monitor building surveillance equipment. Must also be able to perform well in high stress situations, work within a team environment, assist with various clerical duties and assist the public. Experience preferred, but not required. Must be 18 years or older, have a valid Colorado driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days; pass a background check, polygraph, drug test, audiogram, computer skills test and other job specific testing. Must provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Please submit a City application and Police Supplemental application in order to be considered. Shift work required for 24/7 emergency operations.

Driver/Facility/Program Assistant I-Part time, no benefits-$10.23-$13.84 an hour, DOE. The Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting applications for this position. Flexible schedule alters weekly. This position will require several responsibilities with transporting participants, possible assistance with the the licensed child-care program and implementing activity programs, possible receptionist duties, and may substitute for other youth programs. Requirements: must be at least 18 years of age or older, possession of a current certificate in First Aid and CPR or ability to acquire within 60 days. Position requires a CDL Colorado Driver's License with P2 endorsement, a thorough background investigation from CBI and with TRAILS. Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held for the previous three years.

Events Assistant-Part time, Seasonal, no benefits-$11.85 to $16.03 an hour, DOE. The Marketing and Events Department is now accepting applications for the position of Events Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting the Marketing and Events Director with all aspects of production and execution of special events for the City of Cripple Creek. This position will also help coordinate the City's involvement in other events produced and/or promoted by other private or public organizations. Excellent communication skills required. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be 21 years old. High School Diploma or GED required. Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record.
