Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department handles administrative issues related to city employees and city council members. The HR department provides tort and policy guidance to city leadership in order to attract, support and retain a quality, professional work force. It helps employees maximize available programs and benefits and monitors insurance programs and Workers' Compensation Insurance.Mission statement:
To continue to create and manage effective programs and remain well-informed to assist customers - the city's employees, department managers, city council members, mayor and the public.

Goals and objectives:
- Help employees maximize benefits and programs available to them through the city; providing information and answering questions, and researching available programs and resources.
- Maintain the efficiency of the department; continuing to monitor the costs of insurance programs including health, vision, GAP, LTD/STD and life.
- Attain cost containment certification; continuing to maintain and implement the safety program.
